About Tailored Ceremonies
A few years ago when I got married, I wanted the ceremony to be special and to say exactly what my husband and I wanted it to say. After struggling to find a ceremony that fit us, I wrote my own. The ceremony was wonderful and we were thrilled to let our friends and families see who we wanted to be as a married couple. We wrote our own statements of appreciation, our own vows, and our own ring exchange. We selected unexpected readings that set the tone of the ceremony.
When my brother and his wife decided to marry, they approached me about writing a personalized ceremony for them, using their words, their feelings, their ideas and making them sound amazing. I was happy to do it, and then they asked me to officiate. I can’t think of anything better than helping others start their new lives on their terms, so I did.
Now I’m helping other couples find the right words to express their love for each other, the right traditions and readings to make their day uniquely theirs.
